AACC welcomes thoughtful, edifying, and meaningful content submissions about the Asian American experience that align with our mission and values. We seek to publish a wide array of perspectives, stories, and ideas as written content, visual art, and/or multimedia. We seek work that reflects your head and your heart, and presents a rich perspective on Asian American life in a compelling and accessible way.

We accept pitches addressing topics such as:

  • Growing up Asian American

  • Distinctions within the Asian American (Christian) diaspora

  • Asian American theology, preaching, music, art, etc.

  • Experiences of racism and prejudice

  • Commentary on current events related to Asian Americans

  • How being Asian American intersects with faith, gender, socioeconomic status, career, etc.

  • Being Asian American in the church

  • “The Asian American Church”

  • Intergenerational distinctions, challenges, and opportunities

  • Asian American leadership and representation

  • Celebrating Asian American heritage and culture

  • Addressing the model minority myth, orientalism, the perpetual foreigner syndrome, and other misconceptions/stereotypes in and out of church spaces

  • Stories of immigrants, refugees, or asylum seekers

  • Asian American Christian political engagement

  • Asian Americans and other racialized minority communities

  • Asian American coalition building

  • Transnational / Transpacific realities

  • Tools and strategies for combating racism against Asian Americans
